Wendy and her husband Nigel have moved to live in Calne from Swindon, where they were both born and where they brought up their two daughters who are both currently at University in Coventry and Bradford, studying Civil Engineering and Politics respectively.
Wendy has been a Methodist Local Preacher for 25 years and has had several jobs and several church roles over the years – latterly working as a childminder and as a teaching assistant with students with moderate learning difficulties at Swindon College – also voluntary College Chaplain, a Trustee of Swindon Youth for Christ and a Governor of the local infant school.
She trained part-time at the Southern Theological Education and Training Scheme in Salisbury from 2012 to 2015.
She would like to rediscover her love for reading once formal studying is less pressured and also loves to sing, spend time with her family and friends and go camping in her trailer tent, preferably on the Isle of Wight in the sunshine.
Wendy has pastoral responsibility for the Calne, Bromham and Seend areas.
